Legal teams faced significant challenges in managing their workloads effectively. Existing tools like spreadsheets, calendars, and email lacked integration, security, and collaboration features tailored to the complexities of legal workflows. This resulted in:

• Inefficient Task Management: Teams struggled to prioritize work and meet deadlines, leading to missed milestones and operational bottlenecks.

• Collaboration Barriers: Siloed tools made it difficult for stakeholders to stay aligned and share updates.

• Compliance Risks: General-purpose tools failed to meet the strict security requirements for managing sensitive legal data.

• Lost Opportunities: SimpleLegal lacked a dedicated task management feature, leading to $1.4M in lost deals and threatened client retention.

Impact:
As the Director of Design and lead designer, I played a player-coach role, leading the end-to-end design of this new feature from conception to launch. I aligned stakeholders around a shared vision. I continued to lead and mentor the design team on other product initiatives.

Key Results:
